I got tired of hitting paywalls just to export a GPX file to my Garmin watch. Trailsplits is a free 3D topographical route planner built for trail runners. It uses a custom Valhalla routing engine to snap to OpenStreetMap trails, giving you accurate elevation profiles and 3D visual flyovers of Alpine routes. No accounts, no subscriptions, just pure route planning.
